25 Aug National Awareness Campaign- Share Your Story
Scleroderma Australia, in collaboration with Scleroderma@ResearchFriends and Melbourne Playback Theatre Company, is developing a national awareness campaign to help Australians better understand what it’s really like to live with scleroderma.
We’re inviting people with scleroderma to share their honest stories through a short online survey. These stories will help shape the tone and content of a national campaign featuring video portrayals using a method called verbatim performance, where actors use your exact words and emotion to help others see what they may not have known.
We are creating this campaign to help people outside the scleroderma community understand what you live with every day. Health professionals, researchers and policy leaders are not always aware. This is how we reach them.
You can respond in writing, or submit a voice or video file. All contributions are treated with care, and you can choose to remain anonymous. We are looking to share diverse and hidden stories, to show the unique challenges of our community. We are hoping this is the start of a much bigger national conversation and thank you for your time.
